Before you start. You need your email provider's SMTP settings — server (host), port, username and password. Many providers ask you to create an app password for this; their help pages list the details.
Steps
- Open the email settings
Go to Settings → Email sending.
- Set the sender
Enter the From name and From email your clients should see, and a Reply-to address if replies should go somewhere else.
- Connect your mail server
Enter the Host, Port, Username and Password from your provider, turn on Use SSL/TLS if your provider requires it, and save.
- Send a test
Tap Send test email. Payverly sends a test to your own account email so you can confirm delivery.
- Email an invoice
Open an invoice and tap Email. Enter the client's address in Send to, add an optional note, and send. The invoice PDF goes out from your address.
Good to know
- Your mail password is encrypted (AES-256-GCM) before it is stored, is never sent back to the app, and is used only to send the emails you ask for.
- You can remove your mail-server details at any time from Settings → Email sending.
- Messages go through your own mail server, so your provider's own terms and sending limits apply. More in our security overview.
