Before you start. Line items come from your catalog, so add your client under Clients and the products or services you sell under Items first.

Steps

  1. Start a new invoice

On a phone, tap + on the Invoices screen or New invoice on a client's page. On a computer, use the New invoice button in the sidebar.

  2. Choose the client and the schedule

Select the client. The invoice switches to the currency saved on that client — you can still pick another. Check the issue date, then choose payment terms: On receipt, Net 14, Net 30 or Custom. The due date and the invoice number are filled in for you.

  3. Add the line items

Tap Add item, select a product or service from your catalog, and adjust the description, quantity and rate if this job is different. Add as many lines as you need.

  4. Set tax and discount

The tax rate starts at your default from Settings. Change it if this invoice needs another rate, and add a discount as a percentage or a flat amount.

  5. Review and save

Check the total on the review step — or in the live summary on a larger screen — and save. The invoice appears in your list with its number, ready to send.

Good to know

  • On a phone the builder is three steps: Client & schedule, Line items and Review & save. On a larger screen it is one form.
  • Your work is saved on the device as you type. If you leave halfway, Payverly offers to restore the draft next time.
  • The defaults — currency, tax rate, payment terms and numbering — come from Settings. Set them once.
